Mission

The Massachusetts Association of Extension Educators is an organization of individuals with a common interest in the practice and study of extension education.

Objectives

  • Promote and assist the professional development of members.
  • Encourage high professional standards and ethics of members.
  • Promote, encourage and recognize leadership, excellence and achievement.
  • Maintain a strong, viable organization capable of addressing current issues and future needs of members.
  • Promote communication, cooperation, and professionalism among all Massachusetts Extension staff and advance the professionalism, status and environment of Extension staff.
  • Enhance communication among groups relevant to our mission.
  • Foster effective relationships with the University of Massachusetts and Extension administration.
  • Strengthen and encourage relationships with National Extension Associations , such as the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents (NAE4-HA), the National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (NEAFCS), the National Association of County Agricultural Agents (NACAA), the Association of Natural Resources Extension Professionals (ANREP), and Epsilon Sigma Phi (ESP).
